Hiden Isochema announce the release of a new Application Note on the DVS analysis of timber

Hiden Isochema Application Note 127, entitled "DVS Measurement of Water Vapour Sorption by Pine Wood", has just been released. The note demonstrates the use of the Hiden Isochema IGAsorp Dynamic Vapour Sorption analyser to measure moisture sorption data for Scotch pine wood. The data are fitted using the Hailwood-Horrobin (HH) model, which assumes that moisture sorption is due to two separate mechanisms of water sorption.
