Welcome to our Autumn 2009 Newsletter The IGA-002 Reveals Interaction Between Hysteretic Spin-Crossover and Adsorption in a Nanoporous Metal-Organic Framework In our Autumn 2009 newsletter we report on recent work by researchers at the University of Sydney, Australia, using the Hiden Isochema IGA-002 gas and vapour sorption analyser to determine isotherms of various species on a metal-organic framework exhibiting adsorption-dependent spin-crossover properties. The work was published recently in the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS), and is an excellent demonstration of the versatility of the IGA-002 gravimetric instrument, which was used in the study to determine isotherms of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, methanol, ethanol, acetone and toluene for the material, [Fe(pz)Ni(CN)4] where pz is pyrazine, as well as isobars for nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide at pressures up to 10 bar.
