We report further on the work by Dutch and Swedish researchers, announced in our previous news item from the 23rd April 2008 , looking at the characterisation of Mg-H₂ nanostructures formed from the hydrogen-induced disproportionation of Mg₂₄Y₅. Thermal desorption spectra (TDS) were measured using a HTP1-S thermal desorption analyser to determine total hydrogen contents and to determine the activation energy for the desorption process through the use of Kissinger plots...
