Product Overview The HTP series analysers are available with an optional Supercritical Fluid (SCF) delivery system. This integrated unit provides operation up to the maximum pressure rating of the HTP instruments with species that have near-ambient critical points, such as carbon dioxide, ethane or xenon. Although the HTP instruments are capable of working at pressures of up to 200 bars, a number of gases are supplied from cylinders at significantly lower pressures. The SCF delivery system allows the use of these species at pressures greater than that of the supply cylinder.Although external laboratory-scale compressors can be used for this purpose, oil contamination can be introduced into the system as a result. The Hiden Isochema SCF delivery system, however, offers oil-free operation and thus eliminates the risk of contamination, which is a crucial consideration for high accuracy sorption measurements. Furthermore, the simplicity and convenience of the SCF delivery system means that users need not worry about external complications: The SCF sits entirely within the HTP body and is easily operated using integral software routines.
