Application Overview The equilibrium and kinetics of water sorption by building materials, such as mortar and concrete, are important factors in their degradation with time. Differences in the moisture sorption and transport properties between different materials can therefore be used to explain or predict differences in the performance of these materials. To assess these factors, the water uptake can be measured gravimetrically as a function of temperature and relative humidity (RH).The IGAsorp and IGAsorp-CT can be used to accurately determine these parameters at atmospheric pressure and have been used in a number of such studies. The isothermal uptake can be determined at temperatures up to 85°C and drying can be performed at temperatures of up to 350°C. Product Information Pages IGAsorp IGAsorp-CT
