Product Overview

The IGAsorp-CT extends the isothermal operation range to 85°C and was originally designed to perform the 85%RH/85°C test used as a quality and reliability test in the electronic components and packaging industries, in accordance with the IEC 60749 and IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020C standards.

The system is a variant of the standard IGAsorp , which enables the study of the uptake and kinetics of moisture sorption at elevated temperatures more accurately and rapidly than other methods. Special attention has been paid to long-term operation and stability under the required climatic testing (CT) conditions, and analysis routines have been added to calculate the chemical diffusion coefficient as well as equilibrium solubility from the measured data.

Product Applications

The IGAsorp-CT is used in applications where moisture sorption would otherwise be too slow to practically measure at lower, near ambient temperatures. The elevated temperature increases the sorption process kinetics without sacrificing experimental accuracy.
