The IGAsorp is a fully automated bench top gravimetric analysis system designed to quickly and accurately measure the magnitude and kinetics of moisture sorption by materials.
The IGAsorp range utilises the unique IGA method, which exploits the relaxation of the sample after relative humidity (RH) or temperature change to simultaneously determine kinetic parameters and equilibrium uptake. The instruments combine an ultra sensitive microbalance with precise measurement and control of both humidity and temperature.
IGAsorp Series Key Features - Large capacity microbalance (5g) with a resolution of 0.1 μg and excellent long-term stability (± 1 μg)
- High-resolution humidity control with a minimum step change of 0.2% RH
- Feedback control from proximity temperature and humidity sensors
- Linear ramp temperature control for thermogravimetric studies up to 350°C
- Moisture and organic vapour compatibility, with easy decontamination and sample loading
- High flow rates up to 500 ml/min and anti-symmetric geometry to maximize mass transfer and minimize noise
- Independently thermostatted balance housing
- Aluminium sample environment to eliminate static charging
- IGA real time analysis method for accurate moisture content and kinetic data in optimized measurement times
- Fully automated software operation including pre-programmed standard operational modes
- Unique permeation cell option for moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR) studies
- Small footprint
